Encouraging results for British juniors
26 January 2012
The last British players are out of the junior tournament. They played well if they lost giving some encouraging sign for the future.
Kyle Edmund and Josh Ward-Hibbert lost two excellent matches in the fourth round. Edmund is nearly 17 years old and he lost to the Wimbledon champion Luke Saville, Ward-Hibbert is 18 and he lost ot the Canadian Filip Pliwo 6-3 6-2.
Ward-Hibbert is still in the junior doubles tournament with Liam Broady (known for his father's refusal of economic aid from the LTA). They will play second seeds Andrew Harris and Nick Kyrgios in the semifinals.
