Berdych retires from the ATP 500 in Barcelona
23.04.2012
Tomas Berdych reached the semifinals in last week's Master 1000 in Monte-Carlo and he will not take part in the ATP 500 in Barcelona. He would have been the fourth seed and made his last appearance at the event 3 years ago. In 2009 he lost to Verdasco in the third round.
The reason for the Czech's retirement was intestinal problems.
