Q: How are you feeling about your game on clay this year. You have had a few ups and downs, perhaps not as good as last year…. But how are you feeling generally?

KVITOVA: Well, I don't feel its too bad. I started to play on clay very well in Stuttgart and it was a really tough match against Maria …. But I feel very good……and I think that it was in Madrid really strange conditions for us and we had to play really not normal on that clay but…… anyway, I played against Agnieszka and it wasn't able to play my game because it was only about one shot and she was very well there. I am feeling very well and I am looking forward to playing my game.

Q:Hi – do you feel more pressure now that you are a Grand Slam champion – with everyone trying to beat you?
KVITOVA: Well I think that the first big pressure for me was after Wimbledon and everyone trying to beat me but I think that it is now almost one year and so I tried not to think about that everyone wants to beat me – its normal when I was about number 60 50 in ranking and everyone wanted to beat me so its normal….. I am trying not to think about this and focus on every point on the court.

Q: What is more difficult – to go from hard court to clay or from clay to grass?

KVITOVA: Well, what is more difficult. I think if you asked me 2 yrs ago it was difficult to go to hard court but now I think I am more comfortable after 2 days on the clay but I think that for me last year to go from grass to the hard court because the tactics are different and the movement. On the grass I am trying to play flat and it is not a good tactic on the hard court. I think you have to change the tactic of your game.

Q:But it is more difficult to go grass to hard even though you play on hard courts for most of the year? Is it more difficult from hard to grass?
KVITOVA:Yes, I think so because if I compare from last year it was difficult to get on to hard court but it is always difficult to change surface.

Q:You are committed to the Fed Cup and you guys are in the final of the Fed Cup…. What are your thoughts on the role changes in the qualifications, having to play 4 ties instead of 2 to get to the next round. Does that concern you?. Some of the top players have been complaining. What are your thoughts?
KVITOVA:I think it is early --- I am not thinking about this now – we have a final and so we will think of this later. Yes, I know they want to change something in the order but we will see how it will go – I don't know right now.
