Q: You have obviously had a lot of good results of clay bit not here.  Why do you think that is?
RADWAŃSKA: Well, I think … last year was not very good but it is just not my favourite  surface and I prefer hard surfaces…. which is strange because at home  I really love playing on clay and now I prefer hard courts. This year I  played two tournaments on clay and two semi-finals and lots of good  players and so I am really looking forward to playing here.

Q: And do you find that here is very different from Paris. For exampleare the conditions here very different or are they similar to Paris?
RADWAŃSKA: No, in Paris the courts are much faster and so …. here it is the real clay  and Paris is like a different court.

Q: You said you prefer hard courts to clay even if you have played a  lot on it and your game seems to be suited to it. Can you tell us  something about this? Why you don't feel so comfortable on it?
RADWAŃSKA: You know – 90% of the season is on hard courts and so I am used to it.  You know, its strange because I am not practicing on hard courts – I  don't even have a hard court in my city and so I am practicing on other  surfaces ….. I play a really lot of hard court with the tournaments but  before I was really liking to play on clay but now with the tournaments I  am really liking to play on hard.

Q: Obviously you are having a great season so far – if it wasn't for  Vika –it would have been great. Can you talk a little bit about that  match and how its changed….
RADWAŃSKA: Yes, she is playing great and this year I have lost six matches and six  matches against her….
Yes, it would be nice to play another player but this is a draw and so this  is how it is. You know – I am jus happy that I can play good matches  and I will try the next time to play against Vika.

Q: It seem to be strange with you and draws. Last year it seemed that  you had Ursula the last time and this year you are having Vika all  the time.
RADWAŃSKA: Yes – I mean it is just a draw and playing in the quarter and semi final  against each other

Q: Can you talk a little bit about Dubai and there seemed to be a little  bit of conflict between you two – has that changed the relationship.
RADWAŃSKA: Was that how - - I think I have commented that already and I think that it  is enough
